Position: Material Coordinator

Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Role: The Material Coordinator is responsible for receiving, pulling, and setting up various grades and sizes of steel and preparing material for inspection and shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure customer satisfaction by performing duties in accordance with Pride Metal’s processes and procedures.
• Physically receive material by measuring and labeling all incoming material accurately and providing necessary documentation to office staff.
• Work diligently to minimize defects.
• Able to obtain a forklift license and operate it safely and efficiently.
• Locate and move material as needed.
• Verify material being pulled matches the correct heat number, grade, OD, and length needed for each order.
• Operate an overhead crane in a safe & efficient manner.
• Prepare material that has been cut for final inspection and shipping.
• Load and unload material onto delivery trucks safely and correctly.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and hazard free work area.
• Perform weekly warehouse/steel yard organizational checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or demonstrated aptitude
